The permanent QR code generator

Every code made here encodes its destination directly — no redirect, no account, no trial, no clock. Styling stays inside the guardrails that keep printed codes scanning, and every render is decode-verified before you can download it.

No redirect is ever inserted. What you type is what the pattern encodes — that sentence is the whole product. Codes are built and verified in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

The guardrails, in the open

Free styling tools will happily let you print a code that fails at the wedding, the warehouse door, the table. Ours won't: quiet zone fixed at 4 modules (the scanner's required margin), a live contrast gate at 3:1 with dark-on-light enforced, logos capped at 30% of code width with error correction forced to H, and a decode round-trip on every single render. The rules come from the print guidance of Toolsque's label FAQ, QRCode Monkey's own documentation and wedding print guides — gathered in our sizing research, checked 2026-10-17.

Questions

Why can't I make the code round, rainbow, or mostly logo?

Because those codes fail in the field. Our guardrails are the print industry's own numbers: a 4-module quiet zone on every export, foreground substantially darker than background (we measure the contrast and refuse combinations under 3:1), logos capped at 30% of the code's width with error correction forced to the maximum. A code that scans every time beats a pretty code that scans sometimes.

What does “verified” mean under my code?

After rendering, the generator decodes its own image and compares it, character for character, with what you typed. If the round trip fails, downloads switch off and we tell you why. No code leaves this page unverified.

Is a static code really free forever?

Yes. There is nothing to bill you for: the destination is inside the pattern, the code is generated on your device, and no server of ours is involved when someone scans it. It works in ten years exactly as today, provided the destination page still exists.

PNG or SVG — which for print?

SVG is infinitely sharp and best for professional printing. The PNG is rendered at print resolution (up to 2048px) and suits office printers and online print shops. Both carry the same verified pattern and quiet zone.
